I have been producing records for more than
20 years resulting in 250+ releases. Numerous genres are represented
within those projects but I tend to enjoy mainstream rock/pop,
acoustic, and modern instrumental music the most.
Your skills as a singer and/or musician are
assumed so I place the quality of the material at the top
of the list of priorities when considering a new project.
Mediocre songs create mediocre records no matter how good
the production is.
If you would like to start a dialog, email
some MP3's or snail mail a CD so I can get a sense of what
you do. Costs:
First of all, I am not expensive to hire.
I am more interested in doing great work than draining your
bank account. Travel is usually not a problem though I prefer
to mix and master in my private studio.
Except for minor overdubs that can be done
in my studio, tracking occurs in other studios. Since I usually
engineer the sessions as well, I can negotiate excellent rates.
I also require a standard producer royalty
from the revenue generated from the project. My agreement
is structured so that no payments are made until the costs
to record the album have been recouped.
Mixing and Mastering:
I
am often called upon to mix and/or master album projects recorded
elsewhere. My private studio is equipped with a state of the
art Pro Tools system and the rate is $50 per hour. Mixes can
be done in conventional stereo or 5.1 surround. For long distance
or international clients, audio files can emailed for approval.
